Show: Spring Awakening Abridged
Type: Audio
Okay, so I was asked to review this by someone.
It made some good points, but it wasn't quite as hilarious as I expected. I mean, yes I agree that there are weird lyrics, and scenes that seem badly done in every form but this didn't really make me be like "hahahahah!"
I understand it's "Abridged" but they said that the point of it was that you didn't have to see the show, but they don't really even explain the show well enough.
I thought they could have poked more fun at the actual lines of the show, but they didn't do that at all.
I actually thought they might have just as well called it Spring Awakening-The Simpsons Version, because that's what it reminded me of with the way they spoke and made jokes and snarky comments that didn't get more than a scoff.

Very interesting. I must admit, I'm a total dork because some of it DID make me laugh out loud. Some of it is kinda lame. You made an excellent point. "they said that the point of it was that you didn't have to see the show, but they don't really even explain the show well enough." It's almost the exact opposite. In that you would've had to know SA to get some of jokes. Um...not much else to say
