Day 111-3/10/10

Show: Spring Awakening Season For Dreaming Cabaret

This was a pretty weak concert overall. With A Little Help From My Hands was absolute crap. Neither of them sounded good. The one song that I really liked was Julie's Man of My Dreams. She seems so quiet yet whenever she performs she always seems to have so much character, and I really think that's great. Matt Shingledecker may be hot but he's been a pretty weak singer. I absolutely hated Come Home. They paired up two bad singers for that. Krystina's Never Neverland was alright, she's got a sweet voice. Don't Stop Believin wasn't quite right. Krista sounded like she was struggling, the notes didn't come with ease. Although I do like Seasons of Love when it doesn't feature Gabby. Steffi's medley was real cute, but I don't like the way she transitions from high to lower.

Day 110-3/9/10

Show: Spring Awakening Cabaret for A Cause
Cast: Tour Cast

I kind of like how they did all these mash-ups. In almost all of them I knew at least one of the songs which made me more inclined to like the other. One interesting thing was for some reason I thought that Anthony was singing What I Wouldn't Do For You. I think that made me want to like it more, even though I didn't. Turned out it was Andy anyway. I'm torn about how I feel. I'm not completely sold on it.

Day 109-3/8/10

Show: Spring Awakening
Date: 1/8/09
Cast: Claire as Wendla, everything else was the same
Type: Audio

Wow. Was everyone like really weak today or something? Claire was really good. She sounded a little like Christy but more natural and real. Not quite as hit-the-nail-on-the-head as Alice and Phoebe. But better than Christy and Lea for sure.

Day 108-3/7/10

Show: Jersey Boys OBCR

Wow! It's so catchy and fun! I started dancing the minute I pressed play, and I didn't even know what I was dancing to.

Day 107-3/6/10

Show: West Side Story OBCR

It's interesting because there's something more raw and maybe a little more real about this one, especially you hear in the gang parts like the Jet Song. But the voices are not as good as the NBCR

Day 106-3/5/10

The Sleeping playlist:
This is where Matt proves useful:
Last Week’s Alcohol
Storybook Life
What I Wouldn’t Do For You
Role of a Lifetime
Best Kept Secret
Are You There?
See Me
Bare
Queen Mab
Once Upon A Time

I had this on last night and I dreamt that I saw Hair and was sitting on the stage. And Annaleigh was Jeanie and she was sitting like Buddha on a carpet that everyone has holding up. Sounds random, but it was a pretty good dream.

Day 105-3/4/10

The Jolt Playlist: Here’s a challenge. Find 10 songs that give you a jolt/energy. If you don’t know what I mean think of it this way, your jolt playlist may make you want to dance or lip sync or super model strut around the school. That’s how I suggest finding your jolt playlist. Think of some songs and then walk as you listen. If you find your self walking with more attitude, flair, soul, and hell you could out-do Tyra, then put it in your playlist! But only 10 songs. You can change it if necessary. Here are mine:
Tik Tok
Bad Romance
American Idiot (AI version)
21 Guns (AI version)
Holiday (AI version)
Last Week’s Alcohol (I might take this off. I might replace it with an RSO song)
Positive
Telephone Hour
Three-Five-Zero-Zero
Mrs. Sharp

Day 104-3/3/10

RSO playlist: Because I have become so obsessed, this is the 10 songs that have completely grown on me:
Crazytown
Caralee
The Plane is Going Down
The Mess
Mrs. Sharp
What I Wouldn’t Do For You
The Ballad of Sara Berry
Hemming and Hawing
The Song of The Dead Fairy
Halfway

Day 103-3/2/10

Sara Berry: This is lame, but this is all I can listen to today. I am so obsessed with this song! I was a good girl and did my research and found out so much amazing stuff about this song and this show in general. So this song is from a series called 35MM which is songs inspired from photographs… apparently this is the picture behind it http://www.ryanscottoliver.com/images/WebUpdate%201-7-10/19%20Sara%20Berry%20URBAN%20BIG.jpg
What I find amazing is that you have people like Taylor Swift who are writing music based off of their lives and full events that are so unimaginative and obvious, and then you have this! I was actually explaining the song and everything to my friend and she goes “That sounds like something the Beatles once did.” I find it just incredible.

Day 102-3/1/10

Show: Wonderland
Date: 1/20/10
Cast: Janet Dacal (Alice), Julie Brooks (Chloe), Tommar Wilson (Theo/Caterpillar), Jose Llana (Hector/El Gato), Karen Mason (Queen of Hearts), Darren Ritchie (Jack/White Knight), Nikki Snelson (Mad Hatter), Ed Staudenmayer (White Rabbit), Tad Wilson (Jabberwock)
Type: Audio

I thought this was a really great show. It seemed witty, it was really a new fresh take rather than what Disney and Tim Burton are doing by just using special effects. I especially loved the emotional aspect with her realizing her love
