Day 78-2/5/10
Show: Spring Awakening
Date: 10/11/09
Cast: Jake Epstein (Melchior), Taylor Trensch (Moritz), Christy Altomare (Wendla), Steffi D (Ilse), Sarah Hunt (Martha), Andy Mientus (Hanschen), Ben Fankhauser (Ernst), Matt Shingledecker (Georg), Kimiko Glenn (Thea), Gabrielle Garza (Anna), Anthony Lee Medina (Otto), John Wojda (Adult Men), Angela Reed (Adult Women), Krystina Alabado, Justin Scott Brown, Lucas A Wells, Kayla Foster (Ensemble)
Jake was pretty good. Taylor was refreshingly normal. Christy was inconsistent. Sometimes she hit a really nice not and then she'd hit a not so great note. Ben F was better than Ben M but not very impressive. And everyone else was pretty much ignorable.

Day 77-2/4/10
Show: Hair
Date: 5/7/09
Cast: Gavin Creel (Claude), Will Swenson (Berger), Jackie Burns* (Sheila), Bryce Ryness (Woof), Darius Nichols (Hud), Sasha Allen (Dionne), Kacie Sheik (Jeanie), Allison Case (Crissy), Andrew Kober (Father/Margaret Mead), Megan Lawrence (Mother), Theo Stockman (Hubert/Principal/Tribe), Briana Carlson-Goodman* (Black Boys Trio/Tribe), Megan Reinking Black Boys Trio/Tribe), Kaitlin Kiyan (Black Boys Trio /Tribe), Nicole Lewis (White Boys Trio/Tribe), Saycon Sengbloh (White Boys Trio/Tribe), Ato Blankson-Wood (Tribe), Steel Burkhardt (Tribe), Lauren Elder (Tribe), Allison Guinn (Tribe), Michael James-Scott* Tribe) John Moauro (Tribe), Brandon Pearson (Tribe), Paris Remillard (Tribe), Maya Sharpe (Tribe), Tommar Wilson (Tribe)
So I just have a few comments:
-I Believe in Love was kind of shaky
-But her story about the march and scene with Berger was perfect.
-Easy to be Hard was good, minus her occasionally odd pronunciation.
-I hadn't noticed that the chorus parts in many of the songs, but mostly Where Do I Go were so pretty.
-Gavin was a little weak vocally.
-Let The Sun Shine In was pretty emotional.

Day 76-2/3/10
Show: Legally Blonde
Date: 2/22/08
Cast: Becky Gulsvig (u/s Elle), Christian Borle (Emmett), Jason Gillman (u/s Warner), Kate Shindle (Vivienne), Michael Rupert (Callahan), Orfeh (Paulette), Michelle Kittrell (u/s Serena), Haven Burton (Margot), Asmeret Ghebremichael (Pilar), Nikki Snelson (Brooke), Kate Wetherhead (Kate/Chutney), Andy Karl (Dewey/Karl), Natalie Joy Johnson (Enid), Gaelen Gilliland (Mom/Whitney), Kevin Pariseau (Dad/Winthrop), Matthew Risch (Carlos), Manuel Herrera (Nikos/Padamadan), Bryce Ryness (Aaron/Guard), Rod Harrelson (u/s Judge - swing)
Type: Audio
Snaps for Becky! I thought she sounded really beautiful. Less twangy than LBB. I have to say I really missed Annaleigh as Serena :(
And the plot annoys me a little. First, applying to Harvard law is like applying to TJ. If Elle got in over me, I would kill myself. And second, Brooke did not have enough evidence against her. The DA should have never filed that case!

Day 75-2/2/10
Show: Avenue Q
Date: 10/14/08
Cast:Howie Michael Smith (Princeton/Rod), Christy Carleson Romano (Kate/Lucy), Christian Anderson (Nicky/Trekkie), Carla Renata (Gary Coleman), Nicholas Kohn (Brian), Ann Sanders (Christmas Eve), Jennifer Barnhart (Mrs. T/Bear), Ensemble: Jonathan Root, Minglie Chen
Type: Audio
I'm shocked. I had no idea that Christy was playing Kate. I actually thought she was pretty good. Everything was good! Once again very enjoyable.
Although I was kind of wondering how someone came up with the idea for it. It's such an original show and I know that I (who is very creative) wouldn't have thought of it!

Date: 9/2/09
Cast: Paris Remillard* (Claude), Will Swenson (Berger), Caissie Levy (Sheila), Ryan Link* (Woof), Darius Nichols (Hud), Sasha Allen (Dionne), Kacie Sheik (Jeanie), Kaitlin Kiyan* (Crissy/Black Boys Trio), Andrew Kober (Father/Margaret Mead), Megan Lawrence (Mother), Matt DeAngelis* (Hubert/Principal/Tribe), Jackie Burns (Black Boys Trio/Tribe), Chasten Harmon* (Tribe), Hannah Shankman* (Black Boys Trio/Tribe), Nicole Lewis (White Boys Trio/Tribe), Krystal Joy Brown (White Boys Trio/Tribe), Ato Blankson-Wood (Tribe), Steel Burkhardt (What a Piece Solo*/Tribe), Allison Guinn (Tribe), Michael James Scott* (Tribe), John Moauro (Tribe), Brandon Pearson (Tribe), Jay A. Johnson* (Tribe), Maya Sharpe (Tribe), Tommar Wilson (Tribe)

I'm really loving Paris's Claude. His speaking voice is really really nice. Also Ryan's Woof was great. There wasn't anything super special he seemed to do, and he has a normal voice but he made it all work really nicely. I know that Katie's Crissy isn't that popular because Frank Mills just doesn't sound right for her voice, but I thought it was really pretty. At some parts it was a little weaker and you could hear the strain, but a lot sounded pretty, like a lullaby.
Also I kind of wonder who said "Tonto say white man die" because someone told me that Jay once did it kind of like a robot, and it sounded a little robotic here.

Day 73-1/31/10
Show: Wicked
Date: 1/11/05
Cast: Shoshana Bean (Elphaba), Jennifer Laura Thompson (Glinda), David Ayers (Fiyero), Michelle Federer (Nessarose) , George Hearn (Wizard), Carole Shelley (Madame Morrible), William Youmans (Dr. Dillamond), Jeffery Kuhn (Boq)
Type: Audio
So, I actually liked this one.
Kidding. Kind of.
I didn't like the plot any more than I usually do, but I liked the voices so much better. I like how Shoshana's voice has a mixture of powerful and sweetness. The only part where she wasn't so great was in Wizard and I and Defying Gravity. In both songs when she says "Meeeeeeeeee" she sounded kind of weak.
Jennifer was really great. She didn't play Galinda as annoying and forced cutesy as the others I've heard before her. Her voice was beautiful and I was impressed. Not that I was surprised, a friend of mine pretty much knows every Glinda backwards and forwards and said that she's the best.

Show: Next to Normal
Date: 6/21/09
Cast: Alice Ripley (Diana), J. Robert Spencer (Dan), Jennifer Damiano (Natalie), Kyle Dean Massey (Gabe), Adam Chantler-Beret (Henry), Louis Hobson (Dr. Madden/Dr. Fine)
Type: Audio
To be honest, I didn't know it was Jenn as Natalie until I just looked it up now. She didn't really sound like herself...maybe that's why the next audio I have (June 25th) is Meghann as Natalie. Jenn was fine, just less strong than usual. And Kyle's really growing on me. Can't say I found anything too bad about his performance. Alice has been seeming kind of shaky. She's puts 100% in and I'm not sure if she's getting the full hundred back. I am the one reprise pretty much killed me. So did light. Both were super emotional and wonderful

-I swear that it sounded like Christy said "MelCHior" are the end of I Believe
-Matt sounds so pretttty
-Christy's speaking is so weak and is just annoying to listen to.
-Kimiko's voice, especially speaking, is so high pitched and a little bit squeely. It hurts
-Gabby sounds so bitchy in some of the scenes.
-Shishi's Touch Me is such a disappointment
-Anthony's decent.
-Ben's voice makes me want to die, Andy just falls flat.
-Steffi sounds just stupid when she talks

Show: Addams Family
Date: 11/27/09
Cast: Nathan Lane (Gomez Addams), Bebe Neuwirth (Morticia Addams), Kevin Chamberlin (Uncle Fester), Jackie Hoffman (Grandma), Krysta Rodriguez (Wednesday Addams), Adam Riegler (Pugsley Addams), Zachary James (Lurch), Terrence Mann (Malcolm Beineke), Carolee Carmello (Alice Beineke), Wesley Taylor (Lucas Beineke)
Type: Audio
I really like the opening song, even though it's supposedly a big dance number, it's still fun to listen to and it got stuck in my head.
Also the into to Second Banana is verrry similar to the intro to Little Me. It was weird.
Crazier Than You is probably my favorite song, totally got stuck in my head.
And all in all it was great.
Oh, and I love Wesley Taylor
