Day 32-12/21/09

Show: Hair Actors Fund
Date: 2004
Cast: A lot of people
Type: Cast Recording

I know this isn't really a show, but I didn't get a chance to load my ipod with anything new and I haven't actually listened to it yet.
Aquarius was pretty good, it didn't seem much different than the other versions I know and love
I didn't like Donna, it sounded weird with a woman and it didn't make me want to dance as much as Will Swenson does.
Sodomy was interesting with this kind of long intro and the guy sounded really good singing
Colored Spade was good, different arrangement but I got the same vibes
I didn't like how all of Manchester England was in 3rd person. And I didn't like that there was no chorus.
I like Dead End a lot, great voice and it was a cool song.
Sheila Franklin/I Believe in Love sounded too forced. That cannot be good for her voice.
Ain't Got No lacked energy but it was decent otherwise.
I am not a fan of Air sung that way. At all. Ugh.
Initials was fine, but it took such a great voice and just made it annoying.
I Got Life seemed just fine. It could used more of a chorus. And although I'm not an Adam fan, it wasn't atrocious.
Going Down was awesome, just gotta love that Gavin.
Hair was so lacking energy. They took a lot of the quickness out. Sad.
My Conviction just wasn't drag enough, in my opinion. Kober holds top spot.
Jennifer Hudson has a hell of a lot of soul in Easy to Be Hard but it's TOO much. She put a lot into every word rather than putting everything into just a few. It was also too Jennifer Hudson in my opinion.
Don't Put it Down is a pretty boring song, but it was fine.
Frank Mills sounded too childish and forced
White Boys was pretty fierce
I thought Walking in Space was both good and the way I like it.
Three-Five-Zero-Zero was not quite as energy-full as it should be.
Good Morning Starshine was nice, it sounded good and serene
Flesh Failures/Let the Sun Shine in was missing something, but it was fine.
Where Do I Go was pretty good. I actually kind of liked it.
Hippie Life I wasn't crazy about, but it was fine.
I like the way they did Electric Blues.
Black Boys was fine.
