You know when I said that I hated music recommendations? Well, I have to amend that statement:
I hate musical recommendations, except for those given by a machine.
Pandora is quite amazing. I tried to use Itunes's Genius and it was pretty much crap. Basically it works by very basic information; genre, artist... Pandora on the other hand seems like a massive database organized by indepth details about songs. It doesn't just say "you like country...here's more country" but it says "you like country with some pop and rock and bla bla bla..."
For example I'm listening to Defying Gravity and it's explanation is "Based on what you've told us so far, we're playing this track because it features a subtle use of vocal counterpoint, a subtle use of vocal harmony, acoustic rhythm piano, major key tonality, and a vocal-centric aesthetic" I don't even know what most of that means!
I tried to tweet my playlist but I don't think it worked:

Not a recommendation! Just showing how Pandora works and set up this for me.
