A Tony Review

So first off, Sean Hayes is really making me laugh. He's been so consistent with jokes and he has a great smile. He looks kind of like Jon Cryer, though. I was really wowed by the opening; everything was great, especially John Gallagher Jr. But I actually preferred to hear American Idiot instead of Green Day. Million Dollar Quartet was great, I liked the OBCR and I liked the performance. Fun energy, light show, very impressive. Can't say there was any shock about Scarlett getting the Best Actress. Wow, Sean Hayes in super tight pants. And John Tartaglia in the audience :) La Cage was really good. I'll have to check it out, because I am intrigued. Can't say I care about plays. All these original plays sound so interesting, I think I should see if there are recordings of any of them. Aw, Angela's speech was really great. David Hyde Pierce and Kelsey Grammer look related! Or maybe they are. Katie and Angela both deserve Supporting Actress. Yay for Katie! I heard she was a real show stealer. And her speech was wonderful. I thought when they said New York Jets they were talking about the gang. I'm conflicted by Memphis, I heard it was amazing, but I kind of haven't been pulled in. Kristen was really adorable. She's such a tiny little thing. I'm kind of rooting for my namesake, but I think we all know it's Bobby's. Or not. Not like it's a big deal, I heard Levi was amazing. I wish they had done a different song from ALNM, not that this isn't fine. But I would have preferred more of the cast, and to be honest I'm not wowed by CZJ's voice. The Play Revivals didn't sound as interesting as the originals, but I thought Christianne Noll was great in her performance. I'm a little pissed that they replaced the performance from a touring show with Glee. Not cool. I guess Lea wasn't aware that she was supposed to be good. What's up with her hair? It looks okay from the back, but the front...yeesh. Sean Hayes performance was better than Lea's. At least he was funny in a good way. Billie Joe looks so out of place. American Idiot was fine, not amazing. And my predictions seemed all on.
