Confessions

TGO's down. So I'm writing them here.

Confessions:
1. The computer next to me "isn't working" but it's really just unplugged. I'm not telling anyone that's what's wrong, because I like not sitting next to anyone.
2. We're allowed to go on facebook, but for some reason I'm too scared.
3. I realized that my Tech Instructor looks more like Oliver Tompsett than Matt Doyle...while he was talking to me.
4. I flirted with a guy until he agreed to help me fix my laptop.
5. I may have looked longer than necessary at some of the XC guys with the mini-shorts.
6. I've become totally addicted to twitter. Especially with TGO not working.
7. The only reason I go on facebook is for my TGO-friends and Actor-friends. I couldn't care less about my "real" friends.
8. Everytime someone mentions a ninja or ninja-behavior I think of my friend who is a legit ninja.
9. Today I confused MLA citations and MLIA.
10. I wish I was still working at CIG

Excerpt

I was practically skipping. From what I'd heard, Marcus was *single*, it kind of seemed like we had good chemistry. Maybe I could just say his and make sure he realized that we'd be good together. I was allowed backstage without question. Marcus's room had two doors, I went through the first one and peeked inside the second one. Crap. He was busy. There was a girl with him, and they were together. Looking closer I saw that it was Sarah. The first few times we'd met it had been a little awkward, I got a vibe that she didn't like me. But then she became my understudy, and everyone said she was better than I was. And god, we were the same age. I felt too defeated to move, I just sat down by the door and contemplated how many levels of stupid I was. After awhile I heard "I'm sorry, I gotta go. But we'll be together later."
I jumped up and leaned against the wall, trying to act normal. When Marcus saw me, he smiled.
"Hey Lexi! What's up?"
I opened my mouth to respond, but my nerves got the best of me. Marcus hugged me and moved to leave.
"Can we talk later?"
"Ye...sh....okay." I stuttered in response. But he'd already ran off, leaving me just standing there.
The door opened again and Sarah walked out.
"Hi?" She asked, looking puzzled at seeing me.
"Sorry, hi" I responded embarassedly.
Sarah gazed at me, "If you wanted Jonathan..." she pointed out the door.
I looked at the floor.
"No, really. It's not..."
She nodded, but her expression was completely flat. "Oh?"
I tried to improvise "I came to see you!"
"Oh?" still no change.
"Yeah. I heard you're in charge of making the It Girl movie. And I was offering--"
"--I'm going to look elsewhere for Jenny."
"The mirror?" I countered harshly.
"No." Still unchanging expression.
Something in her voice made me feel a little bad, but I kept going. "I wanted to help with the producing and--"
"--I'm really not into just slapping on executive producer credits."
"No!" Why was she assuming that was what I wanted? "I meant with the writing or directing..."
"I'd prefer to save money and do it myself."
"You have to let me help!" I yelled frustratedly.
Sarah sharply raised an eyebrow, "Have to?"
"I'll work cheap. And it'll make your life easier, I promise." I plead.
"I'm sorry." She moved to leave "I have to go."
"Will you at least think about it?" I was acting quite desperate for something I thought of spur of the moment.
"Maybe" she responded quietly before turning and leaving.

I hated her.

HUGE SPOILER ALERT

I stood outside the door, but I could see what was happening clear enough. Asking her had been hard enough, but now...I had an answer. Watching Mom try to cheer Dad up was making me feel worse. He looked like he was having a hard time not loosing it, but she just smiled weakly and held his hand. How could someone be so selfless. It was possible that I'd misheard--but she'd written that note, so clearly I hadn't. Her wish was clear, it would be my responsibility to make it happen. I watched as she kept holding his hand, but then her arm went slack. Dad was still holding her fingers as she didn't move. I darted into the room. Although I wanted to say something, I just couldn't. The emotions in me boiled over and I cried uncontrollably.

Background on character: (This is hard to not give to much away)
Really sweet and pretty much a stand-up guy. He's sensitive and open, and is usually the one who gets hurt. Biggest flaw is that he isn't that strong, emotionally or physically.

Excerpt

Ironic. This whole thing was just ironic. I guess like is just so fucking ironic. Not ironic that makes you laugh. Not at all. It was ironic that practically the same awful thing had to happen again, only in reverse. The first time happened so long ago, but some events you remember every detail no matter how much time has past. Marcus was exactly the way that Sarah had been, both haunting. Neither had been a total wreck, but you'd be lying your ass off the say either had been okay. It was ironic of course, because I couldn't empathize with either of them, either time. But now they could empathize with each other I guess. I could now empathize with myself. Same as last time, the deep feeling of guilt. Yes, I'd always wanted Marcus, that couldn't possibly be a secret. But I hated thinking that I stood to benefit from Sarah being out of the way. I would've never wanted it to come to this--I love them both so much. The guilt had been worst last time, though, because I knew it was my fault and that what I had done had nearly gotten Marcus killed. 2 times now, I've had to look into the eyes of someone who was going through the single worst moment of their life. But Marcus was by far worse, sorrow mixed with desire was a terrible combination that made me feel terrible--and wish that I could do more.
I kept thinking about that letter. Something didn't seem right--all 3 of us would be happy? She was fucking dead! It should make me feel terrible, but everytime I started feeling badly that bad feeling was conquered by even more guilt of what she'd wanted. How could a dead best friends last request make me feel selfish?
They say some people are the same alive as they are dead, that makes sense because Sarah's still a conundrum.
I wanted to say something, but I couldn't think of a damn thing that wouldn't be upsetting. And I knew I couldn't ask Marcus if he was okay, he hated it when people asked that.
"Marcus?" I finally said timidly.
"Yeah?"
"Do you think she meant it?" was all I could manage to say.
He sat up and was quiet for awhile.
"y-yeah." he said shakily in the end. "I think so."
I didn't know whether to be happy or what. And I certainly didn't know what to say.

That's all for now!

My "Audition"

I thought I'd take a brief moment to talk about my "audition" yesterday.
First off, it wasn't really an audition because I signed up for the class. But we had to sing a song for everybody.

I had been thinking about this since before the class started, when my teacher told me I already knew what song I'd do. (I decided on Air)

Because I have endless versions of this song, I listened to it a lot and made sure I knew the words and everything. Also thanks to videos and a good memory, I knew the (for lack of better word) choreography.

So I was confident....not. I'm never confident.

Just my luck, I was the one performing first. So I stood up and tried to collect myself. But of course, I was already shaking. I had planned on saying something funny, like "It's supposed to be Kacie Sheik, but I mix in some Kyle Riabko, Drew Tyler Bell, and Idina Menzel" (props to anyone who can understand the references!) but of course I was to frightened to say that. I only managed to say "It's called Air"

And I began. I took solace in the choreography and focused on embodying Jeanie-not some petrified girl.
I was doing alright but I was getting on my least favorite part "cataclysmic ectoplasm" which is always the part where I start to loose breath. It didn't help that my friend Sienna laughed when I said "atomic orgasm" but I managed to refocus so I could do the moves for "looking rather attractive..."
Of course when I finished I did the coughing at the end...I'm known as the coughing girl!

What I realized afterwords was I had made a great choice by picking that song. Not only are there so many versions that you can't compare me directly to anyone, but also nobody knew that song at all. I knew everybody else's songs and therefore I knew where everybody messed up a little bit.

So it went well. And the last girl was performing For Good (with the help of the girl who sang Superboy and the Invisible Girl) with a karaoke track, and everyone sang along at the end. It was quite fun.

XOXO

This weeks secrets aren't up, so I'll review last weeks.

1. hahah.
2. Have you seen his calender picture? I'd spend the 40 $ just for that.
3. He has a blog?
11. I started listening to a bootleg. I'm not so sure how I feel about the show plot-wise, but Johnny's voice fits the music perfectly.
20. Why? They are all true.
21. That's creepy and Gavin is awesome.
23. This. All the way. I was obsessed with Green Day four years ago!
36. LOL
40. I would have done it and asked some really tough questions.
54. Hmmmm.

Excerpt.

Sarah woke up groggily rubbing her eyes and staggered into the next room. She there saw Marcus standing by the crib.
"Jeez. I didn't mean to wake you up. She doesn't like the way I do the wrap thing."
Wrap thing? Sarah giggled.
"Move." She ordered him.
And in one simple motion she had Lisia swaddled, in her arms, and back asleep.
Marcus watched in awe.
"How do you--never mind. It's a mom thing right?"
Sarah snorted, "It's got nothing to do with any sixth sense or ESP."
She smiled, "Most girls have the swaddling thing down by age 6."
Of course, Michael smiled.
"Okay, I'm tired." Sarah marched out.

Great Moments

Here are some moments from the last two years that I'll cherish for awhile.

Me: So I had a dream last night--
Katherine: Stop there!

Me: I lost my lyrics to I Am the Walrus!
Olivia: Is that the crinkled piece of paper in our project folder with a cowboy boot on it?
Me: It's not a cowboy boot, it's a walrus!

Gabe: You could practically write the book on it.
Me: Well I already have a notebook with all the lines and lyrics.
Gabe: Ahhh!!

Jack: Hey girl with dark aura!

Liana: She's sad because her flowers wilted. And he's gonna kill himself because he can't control his hair.

Katherine: Who's Blake?
Me: It could be Blake Daniel or Blake Bashoff. But let's go with Bashoff, I think he's so cute.
Liana: Good to know.
Changen: Does he have blonde hair?
Me: Excuse me, you two are not in this conversation!

Me: Don't say peanut butter.
Katherine: Okay, I won't say peanut butter.
*Clank of cell phone dropping*
Me: Your fault. Go get it.

Me: You've seen Star Trek
Emma: Yes, and I'm in love with Kirk.
Me: I kind of liked Spock.
Emma: Respectable.

Gym teacher is walking through the aisles, proctoring the exam. I've finished an am reading. Teacher passes by me, backs up, and leans to see what I'm reading. Walks on, smiling to himself that I'm reading Star Trek.

Emma: Ah, Ponyboy Curtis. When we met I was 13, he was 14. Now I'm 17, and he's still 14.

Jordan W: My trophy's name is Sarah London.
Me: Mine's name is...Claude.
Jordan G: Claude is a guy's name!
Me: So? I think it works?
Jordan G: But the trophy has long hair.
Me: Perfect.
Jordan G: It's a Broadway Jazz trophy
Me: I'm missing your point.
Jordan G: You have an eccentric trophy.
Me: He says he's from Manchester, but he's lying.

(In the midst of an argument during Broadway Jazz)
Jordan: She doesn't believe the Billys deserved the Tony!
*silence*
Me: Aw, come on!

The long story of Tim the Canadian, Gorgeous guy, and Gorgeous guy's girlfriend will be recollected in a later post.

Me: Now I have seen Star Trek four times which basically clears my 21 and Twilight records.
Katherine: You know some people only see a movie once?

Changen: (Saying really inappropriate crude things which I can't quite remember)
Me: Shut up, Hanschen! Oops.

(On cruise, me and some others are sitting on the floor near the elevator)
Drunk lady: What do you kids do for fun?
Me, Tim, Rachel, Lita: Sit on the floor.

(At the "Mexico" restaurant in Epcot)
Rachel: Oh this sounds interesting, chicken with chocolate on a bed of Cayote.
Nick: I'm pretty sure that's not what it says.

Liana: (Via text) You're life is insane.
Me: Why?
Liana: You can't have a crush on a fictional character.
Me: Sure I can.

Elke: What's his last name?
Me: Sturgess
Elke: How do you spell that?
Me: S-T-U-R-G-E-S-S
Elke: Match made in heaven.

Me: I'm not speaking to you since you said cardcounting was cheating.
Katherine: I watched Across the Universe over the break.
Me: Screw what I just said.

Me: How do you not know who Will Swenson is?!?!?!?!?!?!
Bus Driver: Relax.
Jack: Chill, dark aura.

Jack: Good-bye Popera!

Camille: What's with you and strawberries?

Liana: Just what I've always wanted, a valentine's day card referencing a show you're obsessed with.

Me: Well there's a very key reason why I don't bother having a crush on him.
Liana: Okay time to guess. He's 80 years old, lives in France (can't remember the actual country), or speaks only Korean.
Me: no.
(Several minutes later)
Alysha: He's gay.
Me: yeah.
Alysha: How do you know?
Liana: She looked it up on Wiki-diki-pedia of course.

(While watching My Junk)
Liana: What's in his hand.
Me: A picture.
Liana: Oh! okay.
Liana: Why are people laughing?
Me: It's funny.
Liana: Oh, okay.

Me: Do you remember which guy it was?
Liana: Um no?
Me: Did he have blonde hair or dark hair? Was I staring at the screen or out the window?
Liana: You told me to watch, so I did.
(Several minutes later)
Me: Hang on, I've gotta get to the right scene...Is this him?
Liana: Yes.
Me: Okay good to know.
Liana: Is that all you were making me wait for?
Me: Yeah.
Liana: I wanna watch Back to You!!!!

Katherine: TGO? That sounds like JSO all over again.

Katherine: Who's Will Swenson? Is he related to Jesse Swenson?

Me: Okay. Movietickets.com says Angels and Demons starts at 5:30
Katherine: What time do the previews start?
Me: 5:30

Katherine: Can I make a sign?
Me: No

Me: Am I the only one thinking of Matt?
Katherine: Yeah, probably.

Me: Hopefully we'll have time to see My Junk.
Jack: That sounds wrong.
Me: You have no idea.

Me: We should see Matt masturbate before you get off the bus.
Katherine: SHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Me: (Upon listening to A Change is Gonna Come, I smiled)
Tom: Did you just eat a child?

Changen: Are you ever happy?
Me: Of course.
Jordan: You never look like you're having fun at dance.
Me: Well excuse me, Miss Negative.
Jack: Jordan acts negative, you cause negativity.
Me: Excuse me?
Jack: You have a very dark aura, you're depressing.
Me: Sure.
Jack: Zach, isn't she depressing.
Zach: yeah, yeah. Definitely.
Me: Liana? Am I depressing?
Liana: Yeah, kind of.
Me: Jeez....Katherine, am I depressing?
Katherine: Um, yeah?
Me: I have no friends.

I'll think of more later as I am a little brain-dead ATM.
More:

Anton: Why are you reading Star Trek while Star Wars is playing?
Me: They're not the same.
John: Then what's the difference?
Shellie: Star Wars is lightsabers, Star Trek is guns.
Me: One of the reasons why I hate you.

(I'm trying to sketch "Spring Awakening Boy" off of Matt's headshot)
Anton: Are you drawing me.
Me: No.
Anton: If you are, that's cool.
Me: I'm not. (Begins coloring in the SA Boy costume with blue)
Anton: I like blue
Me: Maybe I should switch colors.

Me: I cannot believe you haven't been on the bus in days.
Katherine: Sorry.
Me: I have something very important that needed to be said in person.
Katherine: What.
Me: (Flips over my assignment notebook) My Spring Awakening Boy is better than yours.
Katherine: Oh my god, cool!

May 19th 2009.
Me: I made you a present.
Katherine: Cool, what?
Me: A collage of Matt on Gossip Girl.
Katherine: Great.
May 20th 2009.
Me: Why is your locker door empty?
Katherine: I haven't gotten around to it yet.

May 18th 2009
Me: I have a very important night tonight.
Katherine: Studying for Civics SOL?
Me: Matt on Gossip Girl Finale.
May 19th 2009
Katherine: Did you do any studying last night?
Me: Nope.
Few weeks later
Me: Guess what? I aced the Civics SOL.

Mr. McElroy: Get out your community service records.
Me: I know mine's in here somewhere...
Cyrus: You can't find it? ha!
Me: It's gotta be here (accidently opening to glued on pages)
Cyrus: What's that?
Me: No one.
Cyrus: That was a full-sized picture.
Me: Hm I know.
(Later)
Cyrus: Are you going to tell me what that was?
Me: Yes. God, Cyrus, you saw God today!
Cyrus: Excuse me?
Me: He's a god! If you don't believe me...watch a youtube video!

Mr. McElroy: What are you watching?
Me: (Ponders lying or being vague, but decides against it.) Let The Sun Shine In.
Mr. McElroy: Do you know the whole album?
Me: Of course! I'm a huge Hair-fan.
Mr. McElroy: I was thinking of something that reminded me of one of the songs
Me: oo! Which one?
Mr. McElroy: I'll have to check, I forgot. Oh, It was Karishma's name reminded me of one of a song.
Me: Oh yeah it does!
(The lyrics to Hare Krishna have now been permanently changed)

More Later. It's getting too late for me to remember stuff.
