I walked into the studio for our daily news show Author's Note: The name of said program is TBD, lemme know suggestions!, psyched to tell my co-host, Isaac, the great news. When I saw Isaac she ran up to him and screamed
“Guess what, guess what, guess what?”
Isaac turned to me evilly
"The 5th dentist caved and now they're all recommending Trident?!"
For that he got a glare out of me, but I knew I couldn’t be coy about it, my happiness was bubbling over
“George knows I exist, we officially met!”
He seemed very skeptical of the glee
“Cool, um what happened?”
I attempted to tell the story at 60 MPH
“Yesterday he spilled coffee on me, today he introduced himself and we started talking!”
Isaac held up his hand,
“Wait, when he introduced himself, what did you say?”
Oh, haha
“Oh, I said my name was Bella Swan!”
Eye roll
“Good girl.”
I loved Isaac, even though I asked him out in seventh grade and he said no. Even though they had gone through that rough patch I still thought of Isaac as the Stephen Colbert to my Jon Stewart.
