Chapter #8 (Sarah)

Sarah

I excitedly leaped into Starbucks the next day, I was excited to see George now that we'd spoken for the first time. I nearly flew to the counter to see Mark,

“Grande Skim Cappuccino!” I found herself nearly singing/screaming to my listless little friend, who grunted “Coming right up.” in response. Author's Note: It would suffice to say she's totally in an ALICE mood. When I got her drink I had to wait a little to have it because I had work to finish for my show. Being the only female writer on FOUND Author's Note: Get it? LOST? FOUND? LOL! meant I always needed to be ahead of the game. Luckily it didn’t take my long to finish the work and then took a long sip of my drink savoring every bit of it. While I was in heaven in my coffee I heard a voice above me say “You make that really good.” I looked up to see George standing over me smiling.

I gestured for him to sit down,

“Well, yeah it is really good!” I said back, smiling.

George looked at me and said “I just wanted to see if you’re okay after…yesterday.”

“Oh yeah, I’m fine, my sister was dying to get me out of that sweater anyway!” I said, gesturing to my new uber-cute sweater.

George looked kind of relieved to hear that (not to mention he was totally checking me out in my outfit)

“Well I’m George…Rosengard.”

I thought for a moment on which literary direction I'd like to mislead him to... “Bella Swan.” I almost said my name was Ponyboy, but there's a good chance he's read The Outsiders. I was so close to laughing at the look of confusion on George’s face, but he shook my hand.

“Pleased to meet you.”

As we started talking to each other I felt such a connection to George and I kept thinking “He's exactly what I'd hoped!” In fact I was enjoying talking to George so much that I suddenly looked at her watch and realized

“Oh my gosh, I have to go or I’ll be late.”

I thought George looked almost disappointed (Not like it would be a bad thing!) “I’ll see you tomorrow?”

“Definitely.” I turned to leave

“Wait!” George called “…Is Bella Swan really your name?”

I turned secretly towards George, it was almost too much to bear. “Hmmm…maybe.” then I turned away flipping my hair powerfully away, then I walked through the door.
